I found this VERY interesting video on youtube which supports my theory that hand work is a vital part of who we are and calms our soul and spirit.
After watching this video Anna has decided our goal for 2011 is to learn to spin. She claims spindles are inexpensive on knitpicks.com...We will see how that goes. :-)

I've been learning to spin with a spindle this year so that I can demonstrate at "Old Iron Days" along with all my other needlearts. It's enjoyable, but not as easy as it ought to be, lol! And yes, spindles are inexpensive--fiber--not so cheap. You should have fun with it
