The Jon-Jon is made from white pique', lined with white Imperial Batiste and trimmed with red and white gingham piping.
I was able to cut the Jon-Jon out of a really odd shaped scrap of fabric, so once again I consider this outfit free.
* A word of caution, the elephants have quite a few half stitches, so you will need to be familiar with them before you start. My "Beginning Smocking Book" explains half stitches.
***A printing error has just come to our attention in several of the Beginning Smocking Books. If you have purchased a book and the center color pages are missing, e-mail me at crmichie@aol.com and I will get you a new copy in the mail right away! Be sure to include your name and address in you email. Sooooo Sorry!

Love these little elephants. Thanks for sharing the smocking plate.
Thank you so much for the elephant design! May I ask what DMC colors you used? Thanks!
What pattern is used for the little girl's blouse in the smocked elephants dress (maybe pattern #132 dress you thought)? I've been looking for a blouse for a little girl. Any ideas?
Thank you so much! I am going to smock this on some jon jons for a friend's grandson.
