The Well Dressed Boy
This is what the well dressed boy is wearing for Easter. Simplicity patterns from the early '80's that made many an outfit for his uncles, and fabric from thrift store shirts. Yes, you read that right. The pants, shirt, and vest were all made from men's extra large thrift store shirts, for a total cost of $9.oo!

Cute little ducklings that is! Something about baby chicks and ducks that make you long for warm weather and green grass!
This sweet little outfit was made by Patrice using pattern #114. You can see more details on her blog. Thanks Patrice, great job!

New Sew Beautiful Magazine
Just in time for Spring the new Sew Beautiful magazine is ready to inspire you! The March/April issue is know as the "white issue" and once you get a peek inside you will see why.
My article in this issue gives detail instructions for adding a little smocking to a plain bubble #129 or dress #130. Both outfits were made from white cotton sateen and smocked in pale blue.

Every Girl Needs A Hat
Every girl needs a hat. You know the one. Your Daddy let you pick it out yourself at Target and it was such a bargain at $1.00. And although you can't stand anything on your head including hair bows, you love this hat because it is really you and you knew it the second you spotted it. Best of all, it goes with everything including your Christmas PJ's!

Peter Rabbit
I've always been a fan of Peter Rabbit. Must be something about getting into trouble and being rescued in the end that speaks to all of us. :) Here is a little something to keep you inspired for Easter sewing!
This sweet little outfit appeared in Sew Beautiful Magazine issue #113 in 2007. The outfit was made out of light blue cotton chambray and white handkerchief linen, using pattern #113. The embroidery design was adapted from Creative Needle Magazine (Nov/Dec 2003 issue).
