At last I have a Jon-Jon pattern to add to my collection! My boys wore Jon-Jon's all the time and I have known ever since we found out that Christian was a boy that I needed to get busy. Anna and I managed to have it completed the week before he was born. I actually took it to the printers the day after he was born, where my good friends there informed me that I looked terrible and needed to get some sleep. Finally the patterns are packaged, added to the website and ready to ship. On the website you can also see a completed outfit made from green check and smocked with little turtles.
Every little boy needs a Jon-Jon and this pattern is super easy to make and includes sizes 3 - 24 months. It is fully lined, can be made long or short, is great for smocking or applique'. The pattern accommodates 6 or 8 rows of smocking.
In celebration of completing my project, I am going to give away a pattern to 3 lucky winners! Just leave a comment on this blog and I will randomly pick out 3 winners Friday morning. Good luck!

Love this pattern as I do all your patterns. Your instructions are so clear and precise. Have loved reading about your and seeing your new grands. Sorry to hear about Ben and Tiffany's miscarriage. My daughter and son in law have been anxiously and awaiting their first baby and our first grand and we have had two miscarriage since January. Hard to explain and hard to understand; but we are still very hopeful.
ReplyDeleteI love your work. It is soo neat and pretty. COngratulations on the new addition to ur family!
ReplyDeleteI have outfits made of most all your boy patterns. I'm so excited about this jon-jon pattern. I'm already picking out fabrics for it! Would you be coming out with a version for older boys (size 2-5) anytime soon?
ReplyDeleteI am soooo Loving this site! I don't have any small grandchildren so I am making bishop dresses in different sizes and now I am planning to do boy things! One day I may have great grandchildren and if this Granny is no longer here they will know my love thru these garments !

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try this new pattern! I have learned with my first grandson--they grow out of these sweet baby garments so quickly. It is best to just go ahead and get all the little jon jons and smocked items you want.
ReplyDeleteWith 3 boys, I've grown to love Jon-Jons. Great to see you've included this pattern to your line. Rosa raristy@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteLove this pattern and looking forward to making it for my 18 month old little grandson. Love seeing the pics of your grandbabies.
ReplyDeleteIn a sea of patterns for girls, it's lovely to have another little "buoy" for boys! We all know fabric choices for boys are limited, so it's important to have a pattern which offers many design possibilities. I look forward to stitching up Jon-Jon for all the little fellows in my life!

I am retiring in 3 months and have a new 4 month old grandson-I can't wait to use this pattern and get my creative juices flowing!
ReplyDeleteHi Michie, Thanks for designing this pattern! My son-in-law recently told me that he can't wait to have little boys and dress them in cute clothes! I am going to keep him. I have lots of girls clothes in my grandmother's stash, but I need to get started on things for boys.
